My Story
Shae Belt is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) who is dedicated to providing inclusive, compassionate care to clients from all walks of life. She specializes in working with diverse populations, including the LGBTQIA+ community, and believes in fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship where both client and therapist work together to identify goals and develop a meaningful path toward change.

With a focus on mutual respect, open communication, and personal growth, Shae creates a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges. She integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Person-Centered Therapy to support clients in building self-awareness, developing effective coping strategies, and navigating life’s difficulties.

Shae holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Catawba College, a Master’s in Psychology from Indiana Tech, a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Peru State College, and an Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology from Rasmussen College. Her broad academic background enhances her ability to offer a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to each client’s individual needs. She is passionate about lifelong learning, continuously expanding her knowledge to better serve her clients.

Originally from Maryland, Shae relocated to North Carolina in 2018. Outside of her professional life, Shae enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and gaming. She is deeply committed to helping individuals achieve lasting change and empowering them to lead more fulfilling, authentic lives.
