Amanda Such
My Story
Born and raised in a small town in North Carolina, Amanda has always embraced the deep sense of community and belonging that comes with small-town life. With over 17 years of dedicated service in the United States Army Reserves as a military police officer, Amanda embodies values of discipline, courage, and sacrifice.

Amanda and her wife are proud therapeutic foster parents in Wilson County, NC, having received certification in Trauma-Informed Partnering for Safety and Permanence (TIPS-MAPP) and foster care licensure through the state of North Carolina. For the past four years, they have provided a loving, supportive home for children in need, and their commitment to fostering culminated in the adoption of their three cherished children.

Certified as a therapy dog handler through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Amanda and her dog, Riley, bring comfort and joy to others through therapy visits at nursing homes and beyond. Whether training with Riley or spending time with her family, Amanda finds fulfillment in life’s simple, meaningful moments.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a focus on developmental psychology, Amanda is deeply committed to understanding and supporting the unique paths of others. She firmly believes in the transformative power of therapy and is dedicated to creating a space of empathy, understanding, and support for all who seek it.

Amanda’s unwavering dedication to service, both in her personal and professional life, continues to leave a lasting impact on her community and beyond.
